hi folx..... There is an attempt to get a free game programmed, that plays somewhat like Sid Meyer's "Civilization" (tm?) The approximate plan is to write it under UNIX and Xwindows, with an eye to portability, and possible networking support eventually. This venture will be undertaken in a professional manner. We are first going to work out full specs, and lay out milestones from there. WE NEED: Programmers with one year or more of C programming. C++ might be nice. Similarly, of course, Xwindows programming experience would be _very_ nice :-) We ALSO need: Graphic artists. Well, nothing too incredibly artistic... not much in the way of landscapes or anything.. but we WILL need a _lot_ of bitmaps to be drawn. Nicely. "artistically", even? :-) -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- "I want World Peace" "We're the US Government.
