I like the red one.
It doesnt fit.
Looks like youve put on a few pounds.
I dont need that.
You dont need the few pounds either.
Look, I cant get to the gym anymore.
Why, did they close the place?
No. I just dont have the time. Kids need food cooked. Men need
shirts ironed.
Ever hear of frozen pizza? I tried some last time down here. Not
bad.
So whos going to wash the clothes and vacuum? I dont have any angels
handy.
Who needs angels to do that stuff? Anyone can pick up a broom.
Ask someone around here.
I dont do a lot of asking. I wait for people to ask me and actually,
I havent heard from
you guys or the kids for a long time. thats why I dropped by. Whats
going on?
Nothing. Were just living. We still go to church every Sunday.
I know. I see you there. You left early last week.
We had to get to the In-Laws, family brunch. Its important to them.
Whats more important than time with me?
Well, nothing. I guess I just dont need any miracles right now.
Youre going to need one to get into that outfit.
Are you telling me that if I pray Im going to lose weight?
No. But if you talked to me more often youd feel a lot better about
you.
I dont have time for me. I barely have time to keep everyone else
happy.
I gave them their own set of tools for that.
Well, maybe they need a reminder that they have them.
They probably do, why dont you tell them?
Me? Nobody listens to me. Im just the decoration and the chauffeur.
Youre not asking for guidance either. Send up a request once in a
while. Youll get what you need.
I asked you to help them understand once. I never got an answer.
Of course you did. I told you I couldnt make them do anything.
Why the hell not?..... Oh my God, Im sorry.
Thats alright - I created that place too. I just told you I dont do
a lot of asking.
Then why should I ask?
Because you need answers. You just dont like the ones youre
getting.
Then what can I do about that?
Change the questions.
To what?
Dont ask me to change something. Ask for my will for you. Ask for
acceptance. And then ask for the strength to accept what I give you.
All that I can do.
OK. Whats your will for me?
That you love yourself and love others.
What?
Im sorry did I say that in Swedish?
I do love myself, and Im always taking care of everyone.
So whats the problem?
Im fifteen pounds overweight and nobody knows how to empty a
dishwasher.
Your gym bags in the hallway closet and everyones going to be fine.
Love yourself.
You dont understand.
Sure I do. Youve got to believe youre worth it.
This whole house will fall apart.
It might get a little messy for a while, but I dont think the roof
will cave in.
I dont know if I can accept that.
You havent asked.
Can I?
Absolutely. Permission granted to have lint on the rug.
When can I start?
Whenever you want to get back into the red dress.
Im going to need some help to keep going.
Was that a prayer?
......Im starting to get this. Yes, it was a prayer.
Ill be with you. Leave a note for the kids. Tell them I gave you
permission to take care of yourself.
I hope everyone understands what Im doing. Theyre going to think
Ive gone crazy.
Ill take care of that.
I thought you didnt change things.
All you have to do is ask me to help them accept it.
Hey. thats a great idea.
I think youre getting the hang of it.
I wonder if my mother will ever accept the fact that I know how to
raise kids.
Send it up. Well give it a whirl.
This is great! How about my neighbor accepting that I won the
lottery?
I did give you a sense of humor, didnt I?
I love you......Thank you.
Ill be back in a couple weeks to check on you.
Ill be in red.
Yes you will, sweetheart.
