Self-derogating perhaps, but very true. As a Liberal member of
the Internet, you're probably aware that Liberal in the US equals
socialist in almost any other country on the planet...and the cry, which
you apparently disagree with(as do I) of "save the bandwidth" is a
"Centralize the Management" cry which fits right in with that general
theme.

He's right to imply, though, that terms like Liberal and
Conservative are mis-used...which is why I capitalize them consistently.
They have become titles which more often than not mean the opposite of
what they're supposed to mean. One could call environmentalism a form of
conservatism...one certainly cannot call the onerous laws restricting
individual freedom to allegedly protect the environment liberal laws.

Not only does conservative mean to protect the status quo,
conserving it, but liberal means to protect individual freedom. With the
Conservatives attacking the status quo and claiming in their rhetoric to
want to shatter it completely, they are far from conservative, while
there's nothing liberal about any law which takes away personal freedom
of choice, as the Liberal platform generally espouses on each issue.
