Just an announcement for those of you living in Maryland who belong to the Green Party, interested in joining or just want to learn more about Green issues! The 2001 Maryland Green Party State Assembly will take place Sat. - Sun. May 12 -13 at Towson University in Baltimore. There will be forums and workshops on conflict resolution, universal health care, globalization issues, direct action tactics, organizing against police brutality and the prison industrial complex, and labor issues. You don't need to be a Green Party member to attend the forums and workshops; they are open to the public. For information on how to register, etc. contact the MD Green Party at (401) 267-0224.
