RE: Cancellation of service, inappropriate charges for the month of
March, 1996

Dear Mr. Gary ?? (whatever your name is):

I am very frustrated and angry with you and your company. Mr. Gary
XXX, you don't even have the courtesy to tell me your last name, even
though I asked for it several times. Do you have something to hide or
you are too ashamed that you work for a company taking advantage on
innocent kids and students, like my son Daniel. Through the
telephone, Daniel canceled his account with Canada Internet Direct
Inc. on Feb. 19, 1996. However, charges are still showing up in my
March Visa statement. Trying to resolve this matter on his own, my
son contacted your office on March 19, 1996. He was told that his
account was suspended anyway because of his conduct-whatever that
means. Supposedly, someone from Canada Internet Direct Inc. will
contact him that afternoon. He waited and waited..., nobody phoned.
With frustration, I contacted Canada Internet Direct Inc. On March 20,
1996. I told you that Daniel had canceled the account in Feb. 1996
already. Arguing that he was suspended instead, you want to look into
the matter further. Asking you that how long is going to take, I was
told that it takes as long as it takes because you are busy and have
other cases to look into- I wonder how many more members out there
are trapped by your company. I don't care whether he was suspended or
he initiated the cancellation. The point is that you still put through
the charges and unwillingly to do anything about it.
As his father, I demand that Canada Internet Inc. to be more specific
and explicit what Gary means by "MISCONDUCT" as he does not know and
could not tell me what crime my son had committed and who suspended
him from Canada Internet Direct Inc. . If my son had done wrongs, I
will apologize in writing to Canada Internet Direct Inc., likewise, I
expect Canada Internet Direct Inc. to do the same.
In here, I also want you to document this letter as my OFFICIAL
REQUEST TO CANADA INTERNET DIRECT INC. TO TERMINATE THE AUTOMATIC
MONTHYLY DEBIT FROM MY VISA ACCOUNT

Your truly,

Daniel Leung
