Among the responses to my earlier posting, rightly termed by one responder a "diatribe" considering my style, were a couple of criticisms that I was considering only the capping of doctors' gross incomes, and not the corresponding and offsetting improvement of community and preventive medicine. I'm embarrassed, but not afraid, to admit complete ignorance of the latter. I've seen no news reports of any new community medical programs, or initiatives in preventive medicine. In the last couple of days, now that I'm looking for such, I've seen only an oblique reference to a supposed government desire to deemphasize acute care. Any pointers on where I can find out more? Thanks.
