Whether one is a smoker or not, all have the right to voice an opinion.
My situation is that of opposing this law.  I own a small restaurant in
the Fraser Valley and this law will be the finish of my business.  We
have no paid employees just family members with a share of the
business.  In six months although our weekends are very busy we are
trying to expand and capture the weekday business.  Everyone told us it
would take a year at least to turn a profit and we were prepared for
that, until now  We are in a horrible position, regular customers are
walking out the door, many of the ones that stay are arguinng and
debating with the non smokers regardinng this issue, and here is a
thought when people head out the door to  go smoke do I just rely on the

honour system or should I ask every customer to leave a deposit or keys
to ensure the bill gets paid let's see here loose money or potentially
insult a group of people whom already are insulted.  Tough choice eh!
This is great for business!  We founded this business with all our
savings.  If we were a more established business we could wait out six
months and see how it goes but we are not and things are already tight.
How convienient that this occurs at a time when WCB is able to use the
excuse that January is always slow due to peoples lack of funds after
Christmas.  Enough is enough.  We have started a web page to rally those

of us opposed to this new law.  There seems to be no organized
opposition to this law,  we are not being heard.  Let's change that.  We

are compiling messages and email to send to our Premier Dan Miller to
say lets's find other options!  Let's join together to protect all that
are negatively affected by this law at
