Hello Everyone: In K&R on page 171, notes that syscall.h is not std C. I read that they have collected function prototypes into the file syscalls.h. It is not clear to me what code they included into syscall.h. The book does not show what is in this user defined header file. I know they defined BUFSIZ, and the function prototypes for system calls. I am wondering what this coding is for for the C language implemented on UNIX and Linux. I am wondering if they are just including the prototypes for read (..) and write (...) or is there MUCH more such as all of the low level OS BIOS services?
