NewNet was formed with the idea that IRC Networks are used by users,
exist for the users, and should be driven by the needs of the
users.
What is so special about NewNet?
NewNet has a NickServ and a ChanServ meaning that all users can reserve
a nick
for their exclusive use and register and maintain a channel without the
need
of installing and maintaining an ordinary bot for which they'll need a
shell account etc....
Bots are ALLOWED on NewNet... Unlike other networks, we don't have
anything
against Bots as long as they're not meant for flooding etc...
We allow up to three connections per user@host.
When you would get in trouble, there are always IRCops in #services and
#idleland to help you out.
IRCops are there to ensure that you have nothing else to do but having a
good time, they'll take care of
you...
Why would youuse IRC.GLO.BE instead of other servers ?
Good Connectivity !
Irc.glo.be is connected via Globe to BNIX and since most Belgian
providers are connected
with bnix too, you should have a very fast connection to the server.
Irc.glo.be has very good times to most major HUBs on NewNet... Everyone
will
have good ping times to you.

I want to try it right away !
no problem... just scroll down and you are ready to go !
------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Fill in your nick, if you get a message from NickServ or NickServ_
saying that this nick is owned by someone else, type /nick
<newnick> where <newnick> is another nick.
* When the client starts up, it defaults to channel #globe, if you
want to try out other NewNet channels, type /join <#channelname>,
where <#channelname> is for example #2bee! or #funfactory.
* If you need help, don't hesistate to go to #services (/join
#services). If they are there (this inludes me) they will help you.
