First of all, please don't cross-post indiscriminately.

Secondly, when using Swing, you shouldn't be doing things directly like that.
Hardcoding numbers is usually a bad thing. Have you taken into account any
border on the JPanel, etc?

Also... what color are you trying to draw in? You don't set any.
