problem with WM_PAINT in child windows

Hi,

I am in the first stages of making a program to help analize chess
variations. However, I have encounterd a strange problem with WM_PAINT in
the child windows. At the moment I have 2 child windows, one for the board,
and one with a treeview which will contain the variations. So far so good.
But when I resize or move these child windows so that they overlap one
another, Windows starts to act up. More specifically the windows don't
receive WM_PAINT messages when they should. So, if I for example move the
variations window on top of the board window, and then move the board window
out of the way, neither is repainted. Anyone have any idea what could be
causing this?
I have attached the executable, so you can see the problem for yourself,
just play around with the child windows, resize them, move them, ...
Also attached is the source code (with Borland IDE file). Boards.cpp,
boards.rc and board.bmp make up boards.dll, the other files make the
executable (if you want to compile it yourself don't forget to make a lib
file out of the dll and link that in with the exe file).
I may have a solution: I could send WM_PAINT messages to all child windows
when one is moved or resized, but this seems very unelegant, and I'd like to
know if there is any other way to solve this.

Thanks in advance,
  Zero
