begin  van iets moois; kijk zelf maar:

Dank voor deze aanvulling.

Ik twijfel nog wel, het zou namelijk ook zo kunnen zijn
dat sizeof() altijd in eenheden van 8 bits telt.
Even nazoeken...

"For the TMS320F24x, sizeof(char) = sizeof(int) = 1,
with both being 16-bit."

Dus daar moet CHAR_BITS wel 16 zijn. Ook al omdat een
int altijd minimaal 16 bits is. Je aanvulling is dus
inderdaad nodig.
