het script zelf werkt.
heb het opgeslagen als script.pl in mijn /apache/cg-bin als script.pl

dan http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/script.pl en de output
was testing! this is a test.

dus waarschijnlijk zit de fout in je http-server configuratie.

als je apache gebruikt moet je eens een kijkje nemen in je httpd.conf

daar zal wel iets staan als :

# ScriptAliases are essentially the same as Aliases, except that
# documents in the realname directory are treated as applications and
# run by the server when requested rather than as documents sent to the
