autoconf - foutmelding als AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR gezet

Dag iedereen,

Ik probeer (alweer :-)) een library te ontwikkelen die gebruik maakt van
autoconf/automake.  Als ik

AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR([config])

in de configure.ac file opneem, genereert het verkregen configure
scriptje deze fout :

configure: error: cannot find install-sh or install.sh in . ./.. ./../..

dat is inderdaad zo, want dat scriptje wordt in de `config' directory
gezet (AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR).  Iemand een idee hoe ik dit op een mooie
manier kan oplossen ? Ik gebruik autoconf 2.54 en automake 1.6.3

Blijkbaar is het probleem opgelost als ik de bovenstaande regel direct
onder de AC_INIT regel zet.
