Christine,

I'd like to congratulate you - I found no serious mistakes in your
essay, and I think that you make several valid points.

There are a couple of unusual phrases; "A thing that holds my
attention is..." - I would write "I am interested to see (or to
notice) that..."; and, "we know wherefore we are here" is
old-fashioned, even 18th-century: I would say "we know why we are
here". Hope that helps.

Summerhill School is controversial - that is, the cause of a lot of
argument. On the one hand some people have said how wonderful it is,
for the same reasons as you do. On the other, it has been said that
there is a great deal of bad language, loose sexual morality, theft
and even drugtaking.

I wonder if you are aware that A S Neill died some years ago and his
daughter now runs the school. Some people consider that, without his
dynamic and charismatic leadership, the school has lost its way.

Comme vous etes Belgique, votre langue maternelle serait francais,
n'est-ce pas?
