Thanks Ivo, The above message only refers to my last claim that Ping was preventing access of critics to their newsgroup, but not to all my previous claims. To clear things up: My access to the ping.users and ping.support workgroup is still working normally: this was a mistake in my own setup. My internet access is still working up to now, despite the fact that the support said it will be cut this week-end, but the week-end isn't finished yet. BUT my e-mail account is blocked. This was confirmed by the support and up to now I still can't access to my mailbox (I just checked). So I have to take back the fact that they try to control the ping.users newsgroup (at least not openly), but I am still stuck otherwise on my e-mail despite the fact that they say they won't take any action. I am waiting important messages and here I am without access to my mailbox. This is a clear abuse on their part, based on the mess they have in their own accounting service. I saw your message by scanning the be.providers newsgroup in search of a replacement for Ping. I will only be able to access my e-mail at work on Monday. I tried once more the usenet newsfeed of Arcadis (actually TFI): it is just as bad as it was before despite all their talk about improving things. It isn't usenet, it is useless :-) So I am actively looking for a provider that would have as good a newsfeed as Ping (actually EUnet) but won't treat their customers like shit. I got hold of an old October 96 article and see that the only other provider that sits on EUnet is Netlink. Anyone hear about this provider? Unicall, Ontonet, Interweb, Infoboard, netropolis and Arcadis all sit on TFI, so I can cross them off immediately. As I can see, there are only 2 other networks besides EUnet and TFI: Interpac (Skynet, Perceval, Gate71, Tornado, Area013, Alton, Detesor, NFE, and Zeb), and Innet (Innet). So I am trying now to figure out the comparative performances of Innet, Interpac and EUnet. I still think that to have only one (don't know about Netlink) provider sitting on such a network as EUnet is a "concurrence d๏ฟฝloyale" and "abus de position dominante". This means that Ping is litterally putting their hands on the whole Internet area and therefore don't have to care about customer services at all. I am also looking for information about external Usenet newsfeed such as Super Zippo or Altopia. Any information welcome. Thanks again.
