You obviously miss the point. Show me where you can go to the clock 
department in ANY North American department store, or jewelery store (as you 
can in Europe) and choose amongst many different models and brands of "radio 
clocks". The answer is you cannot, because these things basically do not 
exist here. In Europe, they have been in common use for 10 years. Most of my 
friends in Germany have 2 or 3 of these things at home.

Sure, we have WWVB, but it is not used for any significant consumer 
applications.
