I lived a few miles up the road for a couple of _decades_... and it happens there are virtually *no* Eskimos from the Delta Junction area. That is Athabascan Indian territory, and always has been! Did you really think those Indians were Eskimos???? (However, I'll concede that I have a whole family of Eskimos, and not one of my in-laws claims that any ancestor of theirs ever built an igloo. The Polar Eskimos in northern central Canada used igloos for temporary shelter, but no other Eskimos did.) > As far as the snow, Ft Greely was between two mountain ranges, and >after a while it got too cold and dry to snow. Why danged... that must have been difficult, inside those nice heated buildings and all... ;-) -- Floyd L. Davidson <http://www.ptialaska.net/~floyd> Ukpeagvik (Barrow, Alaska) floyd@barrow.com
