Coffee Skin Cancer: Caffeine Consumption Linked With Lower Risk Of
Basal Cell Carcinoma‎
In addition to this finding, this finding, this finding and this
finding -- all of which came out in the past month or so -- a new
coffee study is showing us yet another health benefit of being a
regular brew-drinker.

Breast Cancer Risk Might Be Tied To Breast Size, Study Says‎
Researchers at a commercial DNA testing service say they have found a
handful of genes that help determine whether a woman spends her life
as an A cup or a D.

conduct a sweeping study of the impact of sugar-sweetened beverages on

Bioengineers Discover Single Cancer Cell Can Produce Up to Five
Daughter Cells
It's well known in conventional biology that during the process of
mammalian cell division, or mitosis, a mother cell divides equally
into two daughter cells. But when it comes to cancer, say UCLA
researchers, mother cells may be far more prolific.

In real time, scientists watch stem cells at work regenerating tissue
Scientists have for the first time watched and manipulated stem cells
as they regenerate tissue in an uninjured mammal, Yale researchers
report July 1 online in the journal Nature.

Why Cancer Rate Increases With Age (It's Not What You Think)‎
Cancers are age-related, much more frequent in the old than in the
young. A University of Colorado Cancer Center review published July 2
in the journal Oncogene argues against the conventional wisdom that
the accumulation of cancer-causing mutations leads to more cancer in
older people, instead positing that it is the changing features of
tissue in old age that promote higher cancer rates in the elderly.

Healthy cells around tumours 'may fuel resistance to cancer drugs'‎
‎Tumour cells could be being helped by healthy cells to escape cancer
drugs killing them, according to US research.
Healthy cells that make up the 'micro-environment' in and around
tumours produce molecules that protect tumour cells from the killing
effects of drugs, say experts from the Broad Institute, the Dana-
Farber Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital.
