Someone over in best.www questioned whether the lack of logfiles
this morning might be related to the "the lack of newsfeed." I
don't know about that, but it does seem as though something is
wrong with incoming news, and I don't see anything on best.status
about it.

E.g., there were only five new articles in rec.arts.tv this
morning. With the start of the new season, I've been seeing
50-100 new messages come in by the time I get up in the morning.
And a number of other newsgroups I subscribe to haven't had any
new postings since early or mid evening yesterday, which is 
also unusual.
