Hello friends,
People everywhere are getting back to basics. With ever higher food
prices more people are cooking at home to stretch their limited budgets.
Many people, always busy, are also realizing the critical importance
of a well balanced, nutritious meal that they feel they dont have time
for
anymore but need to stay energetic and healthy.

Eating well is something all of us like to do but sometimes we take
the
fast food way out because it seems to make our lives easier, but inside
we
know we are not eating right and crave a good home cooked meal.

Even those who habitually eat restaurant food will occasionally
find themselves not going out to dinner at a nice restaurant and forced
to
have breakfast, lunch, or dinner at home. Why not eat better while
becoming more confident in your cooking by learning from an
experienced chef? Dont know one. you do NOW
Of course you have TIME TO EAT, just less of it. The answer is
Hooffinfeathers!

I realized there are people who seem to be unsure about their
cooking abilities and it is probably because they haven't confidently
learned the 8 BASIC methods of COOKING. That is where good
cooking begins.

My new book "Hooffinfeathers" has been written with those people in
mind and also for more experienced cooks as a refresher & reference
book. The 8 basic techniques common to all cooking, no matter what
culture is cooking and ingredients used, I refer to as: Baking ,
Boiling and Steaming , Braising , Frying , Grilling and Broiling ,
Roasting , Sauting and Cold Cookery.

The book really explains what to use,how to do it and the
especially the whys of each technique in easy to follow steps.
From techniques, the book moves on to recipes including appetizers,
main dishes, side dishes and desserts. There are many suggestions on
variations of the dishes presented as well as special "OOPS" sections in
which I have tried to anticipate any problems that might have occured
and how to fix them.

There are also many helpful charts and tips from everything from
cheeses to wines to microbrews to herbs to defrost times to entertaining
your guests.

Hooffinfeathers is really for all your dining endeavors. You save
money, you save time, you eat well and you create memories with your
friends and family...

This book is for you. It will clear up any misconceptions of
cooking
you might have. I learned to cook in my family kitchen as many of us
have,
but I also had the benefit of graduating from Johnson and Wales
University
and owning my a number of food businesses including a restaurant called
the Sea Horse Grill in Matunuck, RI. On the grounds of Theater by the
Sea,
so I do know a few Chef tricks to be sure.
