When I run this on BEST it hangs after the dbmopen statement.

$database = "dbmtest";
  $mode = 0666 ;
dbmopen (%test, $database, $mode) or die " can't open ";


any ideas on other ways to try it?

How can I check the version of DBM that BEST is running?
