Well, I moved once of my domains to the commerce server and I can't even figure out where to put the files that I want to access via https (SSL). The docs don't seem to say much! I'm looking at http://www.best.com/faq/faq0074.html Tech support says that they don't know much about the secure server- that your sales person has to assign you a special tech support guy, so I called sales but they sent me to a whole different wrong number. So once again I'm hoping that this newsgroup, the last little island of intelligence around here sometimes, can point me in the right direction. Thanks :) Mike

The placement of your files isn't important. The URL you use makes the difference. If you have your own Verisign certificate: https://www.yourdomain.com/afile.html would access afile.html via SSL. If you don't have your own certificate, use the server-wide one: https://commerceN.ba.best.com/~yourlogin/afile.html Larry

Larry, Thanks! I did *eventually* get that answer from tech support (but I appreciate your help). I wish they had made that more clear in the FAQ. Also, I've asked the host master if he could make: fungame.best.com equal commerce5.ba.best.com/~pooler/ ...this is how some other isps handle it, it seems (this allows the best.com SSL certificate to work, but yet the URL doesn't change as much- I'm afraid of scaring off customers)... I'm sure the apache server that handles commerce can handle this, I just hope they think it's a good idea! (I know, I know, I need to pay the $350 bucks and get my own certificate... but this is just in the meantime...)
