Dear Madam, Dear Sir!

The Karl und Veronica Carstens-Stiftung (Carstens-Foundation, KVC)
invites you to visit its new site:

<URL:http://www.stifterverband.de/carstens.html>.

The Carstens Foundation supports science and research, promotes
continued medical education and the new academic generation in the
fields of naturopathy, homeopathy and unconventional or complementary
methods in medicine.

- The emphasis of the Foundation is on homeopathy as well as on
traditional European naturopathy, especially phytomedicine.

- Basic research, clinical research, epidemiological studies and
theoretical medicine are also supported.

- In the field of promoting continued medical education emphasis is
placed on the publication and distribution of scientific results on
homeopathy and complementary medicine.

In addition, great importance is placed on supporting a new generation
of academics: scholarships for doctorates are awarded and every student
initiative for the establishment of teaching homeopathy and
complementary medicine at universities is supported and encouraged.

On the site you will find information in English concerning:
- Funding and promotion: Its aims and modalities
- Research and results: Funded projects and related publications
- Publishing activities of KVC
- (In German) a student initiatives section.

Abstracts about projects and publications are in progress -- make a
bookmark for later revisits:

Please note: This site (and the work of the Karl und Veronica
Carstens-Stiftung in general) adresses research, publication and medical
education issues. The Carstens-Foundation *cannot* offer direct help or
advice to patients and practitioners.

The follow-up-to is set to sci.med.
