Badr al-daihani I've cut your email out and posted it here myself as it was surrounded by large amounts of MIME and html formatting stuff. Please use plain text if you can. I also managed to tack it onto the end of a different thread somehow! Thanks Rob Clack ACeDB ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir/Madame I'm a PhD researcher at School of Computer Science of Cardiff University, Wales. I'm doing some research in integrating biological sources. I need connecting to remote ACEDB databases, performing queries, fetching ACE objects. How I can do so using JADE?what is the host and port? I'm waiting to hear from you Sincerely Badr al-daihani Cardiff University badr@cs.cardiff.ac.uk

You will need to say what data you wish to access, there are many databases on the web (e.g. wormbase, graingenes etc.) that you could access and you will need to do a search on the web to find out what host/port they are on.Then you should be able to connect to them. There is no one host/port to connect to and the host/port will be different for each acedb database. Sorry not to be of more help but without more information about what you want to do its difficult to go further.
