Our department has created prefetched DB called mGen, that let's you grab 
certain objects of any of the locuses enlisted in Genbank, Refseq, EMBL and 
DDJB ... it's is simple, compressed for speed, supports mGen mirrors, local 
caching, if desired your company can use intranet caching eliminating 
unneeded interned request and speed up the DNA gathering process ... this 
database is created for automated DNA processing without being bound to 
certain programming language ...
