I am the owner of the BITNet list SEDS-L, Students for the Exploration
and Development of Space (SEDS) interclub discussion list based at
TAMVM1. I would like to open a bi-directional usenet gateway for this
discussion group. The proposed name for this unmoderated newsgroup is
bit.listserv.seds-l.

SEDS is an international student group with the goal of promoting space
in the university environment. We presently have chapters all over the
world. Our problem is that students in Taiwan, Japan, Australia, New
Zealand, and the former Eastern Block countries cannot easily get to the
list at TAMVM1, because of the disk space needed to accept all the mail
the list generates.

SEDS-L is very active. Having an international student organization
requires an international communications network. We need to keep each
club up on what other clubs are doing.
