HHello. My name is Trish Green and I am doing my intern at Highland Rim Home
Health.  I expect this to be a learning experience. This is my first posting to
newsgroup 6/9/98.  I have been doing my intern for about two weeks now and I
have already learned a lot about the field of medical social work.  I received
my first case with a patient who is in bad health and not financially secure,
his spouse is also disabled. My supervisor and I are trying to educate the
patient and family to long range planning and to community services.  She is
teaching me how to find sources of the community to aid certain needs of the
patient.  
	I will be going on house visits throughout my internship and view
different cases of families and how to handle the situation.  I will learn how
to do a complete evaluation of the patient which will be very significant in
the social work services.  I am enjoying my internship so far and looking
forward to learning.
