At the request of the FOCUS-L@YSUB.YSU.EDU list owner, Ms Cindy
Fammartino (tacon040@ysub.ysu.edu), and by (repeated) request of a
large number of members of the FOCUS-L mailing list, a gateway
between focus-l and bit.listserv.focus-l is being proposed.

- The list owner approves (and has in fact requested it)
- The list members approve (and have requested it)
- The listserv management approves

The focus-l mailing list is for discussion of Information Builders,
Inc. "Focus" product, a multi-platform report writer and database
manager. 

This list is not managed by Information Builders Inc, although
some IBI employees participate on the list.

The gateway will be moderated by focus-l@ysub.ysu.edu.  Meaningful
discussion is welcomed, but needless flaming and spamming are not
acceptable conducts.

The location for the gateway is open to discussion. YSUB is shortly
going off bitnet, but it will continue to have internet e-mail
ability (IBM SMTP, L-Soft LMAIL and LISTSERV software).  News server
news.ysu.edu is capable of gatewaying the list, or it can be established
at another site.
