I learned a great deal from our printing press experience. I used the proverb, "Excess of Sorrow Laughs, Excess of Joy Weeps," because I thought it described, to an extent, my life. It never pauses at homeostasis. It's more like a roller coaster. Anyway, about my venture with the press; difficult. I now have a new found admiration for Blake and his work. I must admit, I would have probably conformed to uniformity before having made many of those plates with that method. I guess that's why I'm not Blake. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy his poetry and diverse artistry. I only hope, for his sake, his markers were darker than the ones I had. Wayne Blaylock
