If you have a news-server available, listproc has gateway support built-in. In addition, since it creates IETF/internet-style mailing list headers (as opposed to bitnet-type headers that L-Soft Listserv/Revised Listserv uses), you can use Rich Salz's newsgate package. There's an older version available in the alt.sources archives, if you write to Rich (rsalz@uunet.uu.net) he can send you the newest version of newsgate. -- Doug Sewell (doug@cc.ysu.edu) (http://cc.ysu.edu/doug) de-moc-ra-cy (di mok' ra see) n. This is not correct. ListProc 6.0c creates headers which are similar to the "bitnet-type" ones, and the license agreement prohibits you from changing this (although I'll concede that I don't know the details). LISTSERV on the other hand gives you a choice between 6 header types, including IETF, on a per-user basis with a per-list default. I run a number of LISTSERV lists which are gatewayed by a local unix box (I don't run NETNEWS). I don't know what software is being used, but the person who runs the box said it was "standard" and "nothing special" had to be configured. Eric
