This message is to notify all of a proposal to seek a gateway for
the list, mxdiag-l, onto "bit.listserv.mxdiag-l".

MxDIAG-L has been in existence for 1 year. We have over 200
subscribers, many of whom would rather read postings via Usenet
than e-mail. The list is dedicated to clinical molecular diagnostics.
The mission statement for this list is as follows:

* This list will provide a forum to exchange information for those
* physicians and scientists interested in the application of modern
* molecular techniques to the field of pathology, especially in the
* area of diagnostics. The list will not be moderated in order to
* encourage participation. All information relevant to molecular
* pathology/diagnostics including technical discussions, regulatory
* information, meeting announcements, managerial issues, etc. are
*  appropriate for this list.

How about bit.med.mxdiag-l? That would seem to be more descriptive.

Sci.med.diagnostics would be even better; it would complement the
other 10 or so newsgroups in sci.med.*.
