The owners and advisory panel of TESL-L have decided that we should gateway
our list to netnews/usenet from the end of July, 1994.

TESL-L (Teachers of English as a Second Language) has 4000 members in about
68 countries. It was founded in May, 1991 and is supported by a grant from
the United States Department of Education.

As the list has grown, and continues to grow, the number of daily posts has
also grown, to a point where many members are unable to accommodate the
mail. This is a special problem for users in countries outside the US (who are
important to a list of this kind). TESL-L has 6 special interest branches,
but these will not be gatewayed.

TESL-L is send= private.
