Effective IMMEDIATELY no mail poste to "bit.listserv.masonry" should be directed to "freemasonry@indy.com" any longer. Also effective immediately, all posts to "bit.listser.masonry" should be directed to our listserv's new internet address which is: " freemasonry-list@sacsa3.mp.usbr.gov ". As stated before, this is the new listserv name and address for all posts going to "bit.listserv.freemasonry". Jim, please take note of the above information and make the necessary adjustments since you will begin to receive posts immediately from the new listserv address. Thanks for the immediate attention to this matter. Ron Boutwell, Moderator

This is a moderated list! The moderator address is in hundreds of sites around the network. You simply can't make spur of the moment changes to your moderator address like this. It takes some planning -- and at least a month -- to change your moderator address. >Jim, please take note of the above information and make the necessary >adjustments since you will begin to receive posts immediately from the new >listserv address. I'm sorry, but no. This is your third or fourth change in the last couple of months. I cannot spend the time on this, and it is unfair to ask thousands of news administrators around the net to be fooling around with your group while you get your act together. Instead I will do this. I will take down your gateway, and will make a post to bit.listserv.freemasonry telling those interested in continuing the discussions to join your list at its new location. In a couple of days I will send out a rmgroup for the newsgroup. After your new mailing list has been running for a few months and everything seems stable with it, then I invite you to re-propose the gateway. I will hopefully have the list serving software up within (I really hope - I had forgotten how much "fun" it was to manually run a list...) a few hours to a day or so. I will possibly have to rehome the list to another host, but I hope that can be done as invisibly as possible. Thanks, -HWM ---------- Henry W.
