The purpose of BASQUE-L is to provide a forum for the dissemination and
exchange of information of Basque culture. BASQUE-L will provide
for the discussion of relevant issues for Basques at home and abroad.
The newsgroup will also be useful for non-Basques who have an interest
in Euskal Herria (Basque Country) and its cultural and/or political
evolution, and for establishing academic or professional contacts
relevant to Euskal Herria.

If there are objections to this plan, please let me know, either by
e-mail or through a post in this newsgroup.
