Here is a feature that LISTSERV-to-netnews gateway software needs (IMHO). Some of the LISTSERV groups automatically stick in a Reply-to header on articles pointing back to the list's submission address. This may make sense for a mailing list (to encourage replies to be sent the to the list) but makes little sense for news, since this breaks the news client's reply command by making it do the same thing as followup. There should be some way to configure the gateway to remove the Reply-to header if it points back to the list's submission address. This wouldn't affect the mailing list side and would fix the problem of breaking reply on the news side. -- James Harvey harvey@iupui.edu IUPUI OIT Technical Support/VMS/Unix/Networks Disclaimer: These are my own opinions.
