I'm hoping that this is the right place to post this, but can anyone tell me if a site called MINSVM exists. I ask because we receive files through one of our RSCS systems and the majority of them are NETNEWS files, only they have the same name as one of our inter-site software packages and this causes a bit of confusion with some users. Thanks for any help that can be passed on

I have a server set up with BitNet node information. If you're on BitNet send the command "WHOIS nodename" to BITNODES@AUVM. (For example, from a VM system you could type "TELL BITNODES AT AUVM WHOIS MINSVM" or from a VAX system you could type "SEND BITNODES@AUVM WHOIS MINSVM"). If you are on an Internet or uucp site the only option you have is to send e-mail to bitnodes@auvm.avum.edu with the same query. Sending "HELP" returns information on all the commands available. BTW, MINSVM is not a valid BitNet node in the latest BITEARN NODES table. --- Jim McIntosh (jim@auvm.auvm.edu) The American University Washington DC 20016-8019 USA
