Hi Bitnet Newsmaster ScoutNet is an association operating an own newsgroup hierarchy. Additionaly we import other scouting related newsgroups from other hierarchies. We also import scout-l from a listserver which originaly belonged to bitnet. I now found out that this once was apparently gated to bit.listserv.scouts-l but I can't find that newsgroup anywhere. Has it somewhen been deleted? Would it be possible to re-open it and gate the Mailinglist to it? Regard's -Benoit Panizzon / Woody- ScoutNet Switzerland

Hi Benoit, Thanks for your interest. Previously, American University had administered the bit.* hierarchy of newsgroups for the purpose of mail2news gateways. Newsadmin.Com took over the administration a year or so ago. The group bit.listserv.scouts-l had been removed from the active bit.* hierarchy as it became obsolete. If you'd like to re-establish, please refer to the following URL address within the NewsAdmin.Com website... http://www.newsadmin.com/bit/gateway.htm ...and we can assist with the process. -NewsAdmin.Com In article <3d09f532.26336379@mailhost.atrete.ch>, atrete-26.04.02@spam.woody.ch says... > >Hi Bitnet Newsmaster > >ScoutNet is an association operating an own newsgroup hierarchy. >Additionaly we import other scouting related newsgroups from other >hierarchies. > >We also import scout-l from a listserver which originaly belonged to >bitnet. >I now found out that this once was apparently gated to >bit.listserv.scouts-l but I can't find that newsgroup anywhere. > >Has it somewhen been deleted? >Would it be possible to re-open it and gate the Mailinglist to it? > >Regard's >-Benoit Panizzon / Woody- >ScoutNet Switzerland >
