I am the owner of the Internet list CFS-L, the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
discussion group based at LISTSERV@NIHLIST . I wish to gateway this
newsletter to an unmoderated newsgroup to be called
bit.listserv.cfs.discuss. I also wish to gateway CFS-L to a newsgroup
called sci.med.cfs.discuss which should take over from
bit.listserv.cfs.discuss once the sci.med.* newsgroup may be approved.
The description of the CFS-L list is as follows:

 This discussion list seeks to  serve  the  needs  of  persons  with
 chronic   fatigue  syndrome  by  enabling  a  broad  discussion  of
 CFS-related  topics.   Subscription  is  open  and  the   list   is
 unmoderated.   Please  note  that  any advice which may be given on
 this list regarding diagnoses or treatments,  etc.,  reflects  only
 the  opinion of the individual posting the message; people with CFS
 ought to consult with a licensed health care  practitioner  who  is
 familiar  with  the  syndrome.   CFS is an illness characterized by
 debilitating fatigue and  a  variety  of  flu-like  symptoms.   The
 condition  is  also  known  as  chronic  fatigue  immune deficiency
 syndrome (CFIDS),  myalgic  encephalomyelitis  (ME)  and  by  other
 names, and in the past has been known as chronic Epstein-Barr virus
 (CEBV).
