There are a number of mail to news gateways available but they tend
not to last because of spamming. You can check they by posting to
misc.test (there are a half dozen or so email responses when you post
there--from autoresponders)

   If you want to post to
   alt.fan.mailer-daemon, you would do so by emailing to
   alt.fan.mailer-daemon@ and then the site name.
group.name@news.cs.dal.ca                  POSSIBLY FUNCTIONAL
group.name@news.demon.co.uk                CONFIRMED Oct96
group.name@dispatch.demon.co.uk            CONFIRMED Dec96
