using distinct and max together

Hi,

I have a table somewhat akin to:
-------------------------------------------
| recnum |  docurl  | lastupdated| author |
-------------------------------------------
| 1      | foo.htm  | 01/01/2004 | joe    |
| 2      | foo2.htm | 02/02/2004 | bob    |
| 3      | foo.htm  | 02/02/2004 | jane   |
-------------------------------------------

I have been to no avail trying to find a query that will return to me
the distinct docurls which were most recently updated with the
associated author.

Any help is appreciated.
