Hi All, I have inherited some databases that are not normalized. Moreover, the table names have spaces in them, which means that I always need to put square brackets, '[]', around the table and field names when writing queries. Some of the field names also have reserved symbols such as: '+', '< 25', '> 25'. I find this very annoying, and I have informed my manager that I'm going to change it. He doesn't have a problem with it. It's been a while since I studied Relational Database Design at University, so although I have good habbits, (like leaving out reserved words, and abbreviating column names where necessary), I don't have all the explanations as to I do this. As part of my new role, I would like to educate my team members,, and put some good practices in place. You would think that my explanation that some of these symbols are 'Resereved' would be sufficient, but some people are just very lax about everything. I would really appreciate any reference material, and any comments from all of you. Thanks in advance. Regards, Rudi
