Dear Infoterrans,
I am seeking for informations about a CO2 and
SO2-eating tree project being carried out by Toyota in Japan.
With this project, the Japanese carmaker plans to contribute to solving
the problem of both fossil fuel pollution and climate change.
According to the few datas I have, the seeds are genetically
re-engineered so that the pores on the leaves absorb up to 30% more CO2
and SO2.
I would like to know if anyone has more informations about the project
(and if there are other similar projects being carried out by other
companies) and if there is any study about the environmental risks
involved.
Thanks, Franco Cavalleri
