I wanted to post the responses I got because many people have emailed me
asking for them. I would first like to thank everyone who has responded
to my question, and I hope I can get more responses and opinions people
might have about different school's programs. I would also like to request
that the responses be posted on the newsgroup.
Thank you very much for your help, and hope this helps others like me who
want to pursue joint grad and MBA's.
Sincerely,
Emiko Yoshimatsu
This is a summary of the responses:
There were quite a few people who recommended Duke's Nicholas School of
the Environment (master's) and Fuqua School (MBA) (there is also joint
master's and MBA) [check www.env.duke.edu] and Yale's School
of Forestry and Environmental Studies (joint MBA and degree from F&ES)
[check www.yale.edu]. There were also a couple of people who recommended
Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA)
[check www.indiana.edu/~speaweb/index.html, they have links to short
rankings of top 5-10 programs in various aspects of environmental studies]
According to this person, Indiana has one of the more comprehensive programs.
There was also someone who recommended Canadian Universities:
Dalhousie University (Halifax) and York university (Toronto) are
suppossed to have good multi-disciplinary programs which allow you to
design your own program of study (somewhat) and partner up with other
depts (i.e. business, policy etc.). Trent University (Peterborough) has
also had some environmental economics grads but they are a primarily
undergrad school.
