It is designed for researchers who are aware of the need to include this abiquitous symbiosis in their programmes, but who need to familiarise themselves with the fundamental techniques involved. Typical fields of interest will include plant population and community ecology, soil-plant relations in agriculture and horticulture, ecosystem carbon flux studies and symbiosis research. Many research team leaders have found that this the ideal course for new graduates requiring a sound introduction to AM. Most activity will take place in the laboratory where participants will perform the experimental procedures demonstrated by members of the Biology Department's Mycorrhiza Research Team. Practical sessions are supported by lectures, seminars and discussion. Technical manuals, containing all of the experimental protocols, will be used throughout the course, and kept by the participants. Course Participants have already come from: Argentina - Canada - Colombia - Denmark - Eire - Estonia - France - Germany - Greece - Hungary - India - Israel - Japan - Malaysia - Mexico - Netherlands - New Zealand - Nigeria - Norway - Pakistan - Poland - Portugal -South Africa - Spain - Sweden - Switzerland - UK - USA - Venezuela Join us next March. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dr James Merryweather Department of Biology, PO Box 373, University of York, York YO10 5YW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tel. 01904 432883 Home (+machine) 01904 431328 Fax 01904 432860 E-mail jwm5@york.ac.uk See The Waits Website: http://www.waits.org.uk And The York Waits' Website: http://www.theyorkwaits.org.uk And: http://www.york.ac.uk/depts/biol/units/ground/team/merryw.htm >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> --------------E9F64A65435D5909A3EB3D97 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
YORK MYCORRHIZA GROUP
presents
Techniques in Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Research
including: Molecular Approaches to AM Research
20 - 23 March, 2001
See: http://www.york.ac.uk/depts/biol/conf/arbusc.htm
This highly successful course has been run for the last six years in succession.
