I watched a biography on Theodore Roosevelt the other day on
WQED. I found it a little boring. I'm not really interested in
biography's or Roosevelt, so I did't really enjoy it. However, I did
find some educational lessons I could use in my classroom. It would be
interesting to use as a history lesson. If I were to teach a history
lesson on the presidents I could use this film. It gave me more insight
on the life of Theodore Roosevelt. I think students like to warch
movies, insstead of listening to lectures all the time. This special not
only informed us on the life of Teddy, but also his accomplishments as a
President of the United states. This would be very helpful for students
in the middle school. It would be an even better lesson to get a movie
on each of the presidents, or a chosen few. This way the students could
look foreward to learning, instead of dreading it. Other projects could
be given after the movies, but I think the movie thing is a good idea and
a helpful one at that.
