We start in our art photographic copy studio that is equipped with special 
lighting and a large-format camera designed to control the quality of flat 
work (commercial art mechanicals, fine artwork, etc.).  Once the film is 
processed, the 4x5 inch transparencies are scanned by a high-resolution 
(8000 dots per inch) scanner.  The image is then processed by a large-
capacity MacIntosh computer before being sent to the IRIS ink jet printer.  
These images are printed in beautiful photographic quality in either large 
or small formats on a large varity of materials (from watercolor paper to 
back-lit transparencies).

ALTRON will make services and products available to users in 
Atlantic Canada which, up to now, has been exclusively available to the 
larger and affluent printing and graphic companies. ALTRON is the only 
supplier in Canada for some of these products and services and since our 
operation bagan, the quality it produces has generated considerable 
interest within the different industries it affects.
