This is a note of interest to those mac and windows 3.1 users who are interested
in truetype fonts. The Underground Phont Archive is a service which
is distributing a large (about 9 HD disks full) collection of shareware/freeware
truetype fonts. Fonts are available for both IBM and macintosh.

A list of the fonts would be prohibitively long and a waste of bandwidth,
but you can obtain a catalogue of all fonts, and get a picture of what
they all look like by sending $1 and a self-addressed stamped envelope
(business size). Individuals who are not living in the USA should
just send a self-addressed stamped envelope and international
reply coupons or return postage. The catalogue includes an order form, of cours
e.

Send the SASE to:
The Underground Phont Archive
395 Kaymar Drive,
Amherst, New York, 14228
USA

For your own information, approximately half are freeware. If anybody out
there does not want to see what they are buying before they send money,
you can do as follows:

Inside the USA:
send $35 for the collection
add $3 if you want them retuned via next day mail
add local sales tax
write out a check or money order (still can't accept credit cards yet, but I'm
working on that...) and make it out to The Underground Phont Archive,
send it to the address above.

Overseas/outside USA
send $35 + $3 for air mail delivery in US funds to The Underground Phont
Archive, at the address above. I can accept personal checks, postal money
orders, or any other form of money order. In a pinch, I can accept foreign
currency, but that is a real pain in the *** for me.

For everybody: Please make SURE to indicate whether you want IBM or
MACINTOSH truetype fonts. Also, make sure to clearly print your name
and return address for me to send yoru disks to you safely.

Please do not send email to this bitnet address. If you have a question,
please correspond directly with the company at the address above. The
catalogue should answer all your questions, however.
