 If I had been born a member of a different race my town would have probably
harassed my family and me. I went to a high school where there was only one
race and that was white. The town is said to still have a secret group of KKK
members. I have lived in the same town all of my life, and I only remember one
black man living in it. The older people in the community would insult and
harass him every time they seen him, and they finally ran him off. My life
would have been really difficult if I was a member of another race.
