Ever teach a stats course and wish that you weren't stuck with 3D
pictures in a 2D textbook? I put my VRML models of a bivariate normal
distribution (including examples of marginal normality and conditional
normality) at
http://www4.enter.net/jamesbarnes ('Yes, that's www4.)
There are also QT movies of the models at this site. If you find them
handy, please use them. If you can download them (I haven't tried), be
my guest. You WILL NEED a VRML 2.0 viewer and something to play back QT
movies. The links to those plug-ins are on the pages. Intervista may
have a Mac viewer by now. Although I created the models on a Mac, I use
a PC to view them.
The distribution was supposed to have a data set of about 125,000
points. But the 3D program couldn't handle that many.
Jim Barnes.
